Rachel & Billy | A Manor House Wedding at Mount Juliet Estate

Rachel and Billy’s wedding at Mount Juliet Estate felt like a homecoming in every sense. Her parents were originally from Tramore before emigrating to America in the eighties, so this wasn’t just a destination wedding. It was deeply personal.

The ceremony was planned for the Tiered Lawn at the Manor House, and the conditions couldn’t have been better. Overcast but bright. Soft, forgiving light. The kind that flatters everything and keeps the mood calm.

We changed the first look location at the last minute. Instead of the lily pond, we stepped further into the park near an old oak tree. It gave them privacy. It slowed everything down. Billy’s reaction when Rachel appeared was one of those genuine, unfiltered moments that don’t need directing.

The drinks reception began immediately after the ceremony, which is exactly how I like it at Mount Juliet. Guests flowed straight into conversation and champagne. One of my favourite frames from the day is Rachel’s grandfather taking a sip of Prosecco that was just slightly too lively for him. His expression told the whole story.

Rachel’s morning was beautifully chaotic. Bridesmaids, friends, laughter filling the room. Totally upside down in the best possible way. It felt unforced and honest.

Dinner was in Hunter’s Yard, but the energy never dipped. The first dance happened late. I stayed for it. I’m glad I did. It finished the narrative properly.

Throughout the day, I mixed film and digital, keeping things fluid. Mount Juliet has a way of elevating everything, but it’s the people who make it.
