Tom & Jonny | A Walled Garden Wedding at Mount Juliet

There is something about early autumn light at Mount Juliet that just works.

Tom and Jonny’s ceremony took place in the Walled Garden. Guests walked through greenery into a setting that felt intimate but expansive at the same time. The layout allowed everyone to feel close.

This was a gay wedding positioned exactly as it should be: confident, relaxed, joyful. No theatrics. Just two people surrounded by people who cared deeply about them.

The morning preparation was communal. Parents, siblings, friends all in the one space. That kind of shared energy makes for better photographs because it feels lived in.

The light quality that afternoon was exceptional. Soft but directional. Perfect for portraits around the estate without ever feeling staged.

The reception at Hunter’s Yard carried that energy forward. The Boogie Men brought serious momentum. Even without extended dance coverage, the atmosphere was unmistakable.

Mount Juliet lends itself well to same-sex weddings because of the flexibility between spaces. The Walled Garden allows personality. Hunter’s Yard absorbs celebration.

If you’re planning your own Mount Juliet Estate wedding, I’ve written a full guide covering ceremony options and timing strategies.
