Franc Wedding Secrets - Cover Shoot

Here is the cover for then new wedding magazine Franc Wedding Secrets. Shot in Kinsale Harbour, Peter Kelly a.k.a. Franc is pictured with Etaoin O’hAilpin from Lockdown. This as one tough shoot. Even though it was overcast, it was still very bright with light bouncing off the water. Coupled with the dress which was almost almost white against against the white deck, it really was challenging. At one stage I had to get into a dinghy to circle the boat trying to find new angles. Good fun was had. The launch of the magazine recieved a lot of coverage in the media with TV3, The Herald and The Tribune covering it. Franc Wedding Secrets is on the shelves now.

Mantra Bar, Maynooth

Bill & Jackie - RSVP Cover Shoot June 2009

Shot on location in Muckross Park Hotel & Cloisters Spa in Co Kerry.

needless to say the most difficult shot to get was the one that was not used! I had to get into my togs, get into the pool and tripod mount the camera about 4 inches above the water to get this shot.

And finally, one of my favourite shots of the day. Everything from ambient light to strobe to colour to composition is just nicely balanced ..
