What is the best camera in the world?
Answer: the one you have with you.
A selection of images taken on my iphone. A lot has been said about iphone imagery of late. Sure, it’s not the best image quality from a mobile phone but it does have a lot going for it. I like the almost analouge look and feel of the output, the aspect ratio works well in landscape or portrait and the [35mm equivilent] 37mm lens is surprisingly wide enough for me. Its forcing a wide angle nut like me to look at subjects differently - in a good way.
Iphone images lack contrast so the above shots were modified very slightly using Photo FX - an app for the iphone.
Also here is some interesting info about the internal camera on the device.
UPDATE: American photographer Chase Jarvis has taken this concept a step futher by introducing an iphone app titled “The Best Camera” - it is well worth checking out, I especially like the community aspect to it where by you upload your images to your own page. Check mine out here: The Best Camera
