Front Page News for Waterford Hospice & Jack Lynch

Here is a shoot for Waterford Hospice that ended up in Waterford Today and The Waterford News & Star to launch the Waterford Hospice “Sunflower Day”

Jack Lynch would like to remind everyone to please support Waterford Hospice Sunflower Day, which takes place on Friday the 12th of June, to help raise funds for this vital service. Sunflower Day is one of two national fundraising days for hospice care, and it?s important to note that all funds raised in Waterford and South Kilkenny will stay in Waterford and South Kilkenny. Hospice care is provided free of charge, regardless of income. Waterford Hospice provides medical care and support for people who are suffering from a life limiting illness, and for those who love them. Hospice  care is the total active care of patient and family at that stage of serious illness  when the focus has shifted from providing  treatment aimed at cure to ensuring the best possible quality of life.  Waterford Hospice supplies specialised equipment for pain control and comfort as well as psychological and social support for the patients and their families. The range of services includes pain control, symptom relief, skilled nursing care, counselling, and bereavement support.

Look out for collection points all around Waterford City and County on Friday 12th of June and do your bit for Waterford Hospice! www.waterfordhospice.ie

The Tannery, Dungarvan

The Tannery Restaurant, located in Dungarvan, Co Waterford in the south east of Ireland has long been regarded as one of Ireland’s leading restaurants. The Tannery was opened in 1997 by leading chef Paul Flynn and his wife Máire and was followed in 2005 by the opening of the boutique style Tannery Townhouse. Recently they converted an area of urban wasteland adjacent to the Cookery School where they grow a lot of their won produce. A night in the Townhouse along with dinner is highly recommended.

This shoot was commisioned by Waterford Corporation & used for Waterford Chamber of Commerce’s “Innovate to Compete” conference.

The already iconic bridge is ahead of schedule and is due for completion in late 2009. It will be one of Ireland’s tallest structure’s at over 110 mtrs and when built, will be the State’s longest cable-stayed bridge, running 465 metres long with a span of 230 metres.
